New challenges and strategies in HR management in Korea

Companies in Korea are facing new challenges as the Covid-19 has accelerated disruptive changes in HR management which has intensified competition for talent acquisition. Among them, we can point out new expectations from employees, in particular for work life balance, intergenerational gaps, introduction of flexible work time, new project management methods, innovative workspace design, and so on. For instance, remote work rate has increased from 4.9% in 2019 to 33.7% in 2021 in Korea due to the Covid-19 outbreak (Source: Korea Labor Institute).

To face these challenges, HR management practices are getting more and more diversified. Companies aim at establishing new collaborative work schemes, sustaining confidence within and between teams. They have also to consider many different factors to attract and retain the best talents to foster their competitiveness. In this complex environment, let's gather to meet HR experts from FKCCI and KGCCI business communities, and share our experiences and ideas.
