Webinar with Anti Corruption and Civil Rights Commission Ombudsman

In March, ACRC launched its own "Foreign Enterprises Ombudsman" to actively address illegality- and unfairness-related difficulties and issues facing foreign companies operating in Korea. The ombudsman receives reports of various corruption and public interest violation, complaints, administrative appeal application and Improper Solicitation and Graft Act (Anti-Graft Act) inquiries.


Commissioner Kim Tae-eung, Foreign Enterprise Ombudsman of ACRC, will participate in the webinar to introduce the specifics of the "ACRC Foreign Enterprises Ombudsman" and answer to your questions on the spot.

    ACRC Foreign Ombudsman at Anti Corruption and Civil Rights Commission of Korea

    TaeEung Kim is the ACRC Foreign Enterprises Ombudsman from March 2021 and a Standing Commissioner of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC) of Korea from August 2018. Prior to his appointment, at the ACRC, he held positions of Director General for Administrative Appeals Bureau (2018), Director General for Institutional Improvement Bureau (2016-2018) and Director for General Administrative Appeals Division (2010-2016). Before joining the ACRC, he had served in the Ministry of Government Legislation. He was a Legislative Officer for Legislation Bureau of Administrative Affairs (2007-2010), Secretary for Government Legislation Minister (2005-2007), Senior Deputy Director for Legislative Planning Division (2001-2005), Deputy Director for Legislative Office (1995-2001).

    He got a bachelor’s degree in public administration from Sungkyunkwan University, Seoul, Korea in 1991, and a master’s degree in law from Sungkyunkwan University law school in 2006. He studied in Austria from 2008 to 2010.
