Robert R. Flemer is a foreign attorney at Kim & Chang. He practices primarily in the area of labor and employment and human resources law. He has extensive experience in the hospitality, health care, financial services, retail, entertainment and manufacturing industries.
At his former firm in California, Mr. Flemer successfully litigated for his clients at trial, and on summary judgment and summary adjudication. He has also favorably resolved a number of cases involving allegations of sex, race, religion and disability discrimination, and claims for wrongful termination, retaliation, harassment and various wage/hour issues. In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Flemer has counseled employers with respect to employment and labor issues, and has extensive experience conducting neutral investigations for public and private sector employers of internal discrimination, harassment and wrongful discipline complaints.
Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Mr. Flemer was a senior associate at Hirschfeld Kraemer LLP in Santa Monica, California. Mr. Flemer is also a member of the Association of Workplace Investigators. While in law school, Mr. Flemer served as judicial extern to the Honorable Frank C. Damrell, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California and as an extern for the United States Attorney’s Office, also in the Eastern District of California.
Mr. Flemer received a J.D. from the University of California, Davis, School of Law in 2003 and his B.A. from Pomona College in 1999. He is admitted to the California bar.
