Online Seminar

As the global EV market grows at an average annual rate of 27%, it is expected to record 9.2 mil. units per year in 2025 (9.6% penetration rate). This growth fuels a rapidly growing demand for EV batteries and reuse & recycling market of lithium-ion batteries.

Global companies in the secondary battery materials industry are recently either making large investments or promising continuous investments into the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region. (LG Chem → Gumi, Ecopro & POSCO Chemical → Pohang and L&F → Daegu∙Waegwan). Meanwhile, the region of Pohang in Gyeongbuk-Province has been designated as the first 'Battery Recycling Regulation-Free Zone' in July 2019 in Korea and more than 10 companies as well as GS E&C, will move in for their battery reuse and recycling businesses.

In this online seminar, the current status of the EV Materials & Parts Industry in Korea, the business opportunities in the Reuse and Recycling of Batteries in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region, and the German-Korean Development Network for Reuse and Recycling of Lithium-Ion Batteries (ReLioS) will be presented.

We are inviting you to our online seminar, which will take place on Thursday, May 27th at 4:00 p.m. (KST) / 9:00 a.m. (CET).
